album notes & thank yous I never really imagined that the journey I began in Romania, born out of being lonely and homesick would lead me to this moment in my life. When I started writing, I wasn't setting out to become a musician, it was something I thought that I would have a passing interest in. So I just wrote, not knowing what would happen to the melodies and the words that I ended up filling a notebook, I wrote about sunny days and warm beaches when it was rainy and dismal out & I wrote about boys I'd gotten over ages ago and boys that a piece of me will probably always love. I showed them to a close friend, who taught me how to actually write music, days off were spent sitting at a piano plunking out notes. I was unknowingly creating the album that you are about to listen to. Thank you to my father, who even though he is no longer in this world still guides me with his advice and encouraging words to follow my dreams and not be afraid of putting my heart into things – you were the first to tell me that I might have something here. Thank you to my steadfast family, who supports me endlessly through everything I attempt – you are without a doubt the most incredible people in my life. To my friends, who come along on my adventures and listen to the stories upon my return, who love me despite my flaws and eat ice cream while watching movies when my flaws get the best of me – you are my rocks and my harbors in the storms of life, without you I am just lost. To my inspirations, you've taught me lessons that I will never forget, you've given me so many good memories, you've shown me how to fall in love and how to survive heartbreak, you've shaped me into the woman that I am – you inspire me and will continue to do so forever.
